Privacy Policy

Privacy Guideline

The Seoul International Travel Fair (hereafter referred to as “the Company”) shall value the personal information of its users and abide by the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. In the Privacy Guideline, the Company shall let its users know how and for what uses the personal information they provide is being utilized, and what
measures are being taken to protect their personal information.
Upon possible revision of the Privacy Guideline, the Company shall announce this by posting a notice on its official website (or by notifying its users individually).

Types of personal information being collected

For membership registration, consultation, service subscription and other purposes, the Company shall collect the following
personal information
  • - Types of information: Name, home address, cell phone number, email address and resident registration number
  • - Channel of collection: Official website (bulletin board for consultation & public polls)

Purposes of collection and use of personal information

The Company shall utilize the collected personal information for the following purposes:
  • - Management of membership, claims and complaints
  • - Execution of contract on service provision; settlement of charges following the provision of service; and delivery
    of goods or bills

Period for retention and utilization of personal information

In principle, the Company shall destroy personal information immediately once the purposes of its collection and use are achieved, provided that the following information shall be archived for the specified period of time for the reason described below:

  • Archived item : Emails
  • Reason for archiving : To send informative emails
  • Archiving period : (1) year

Procedure and method for destruction of personal information

In principle, the Company shall destroy personal information immediately once the purposes of its collection and use are achieved. The following are the procedure and method for destruction:
- Destruction procedure
The information that a user enters for membership registration or other purposes is transferred to a separate database (or to a separate file in the case of hard-copy materials) once the purposes are achieved, and is stored for a certain period of time pursuant to internal guidelines and other applicable laws and regulations (see “Period for retention and utilization of personal information) before being destroyed.

Personal information transferred to a separate database shall not be used for purposes other than retention unless otherwise stipulated by law.
-Destruction method
Personal information stored in electronic form is deleted using a technical method ensuring non-restoration of the record.

Provision of personal information

In principle, the Company shall not provide personal information of its users to a third party, except for the following cases:

  • - The users have provided prior consent; or
  • - The provision is done pursuant to laws and regulations or under the request of an investigative authority for investigations based on the procedure and method specified by law.우

Commissioning of collected personal information

The Company shall not commission the personal information of its users to a third-party company without the consent of the users. If the need for such commissioning arises in the future, the Company shall notify the users of details of the third-party company and the tasks being commissioned and get prior consent if necessary.

Rights of users and legal representatives and how to exercise the rights

The users and legal representatives may view or modify the registered personal information of the users themselves, or children aged below fourteen (14) years old that they represent, and may ask for cancellation of membership any time they want.

The users and legal representatives may view or modify the personal information of the users themselves or children under the age of fourteen (14) years old that they represent by carrying out “Change Personal Information” (or “Modify Member Information”); they may cancel the membership (i.e. withdraw their consent to the membership) by going through the personal identification procedure and then the cancellation procedure for themselves. Otherwise, they may contact the person in charge of personal information management in written form or via phone or email, to take care of the issue without delay.

If a user asks for correction of any error in his/her personal information, the personal information in question shall not be used or provided until the correction is completed. If wrong personal information has already been provided to a third party, the corrected results shall be sent to the third party immediately so that the correction can be made accordingly.

As for any personal information cancelled or deleted under the request of the users or legal representatives, the Company shall deal with it pursuant to what is specified in “Period for retention and utilization of personal information” and make sure the information is not viewed or utilized for other purposes.

Management of privacy complaints

With the aim of protecting personal information of users and addressing possible complaints regarding the personal information, the Company has designated the following departments and personal information manager:

Users may report all complaints concerning privacy protection that they have in the course of using the Company’s service to the personal information manager or the responsible department. The Company will provide prompt and substantial responses to their reports.
