Seoul is exciting. I think Seoul is exciting because there’s always so many things to do here. Like this festival for example, museums, concerts. In the fall, my husband and I saw Beyonce. There are always so many things to do. It’s a very exciting place. And very kid-friendly.

ALL: Seoul is yummy!
A: Today we had this chicken.
B: With ginseng.
A: Yea, yea, yea with the rice.
B: What’s it called?
A: Let’s see. Oh, 'samgyetang'! It was great.
B: And the 'kimchi', it was really spicy. What did we eat? We had some garlic something
A: Garlic 'kimchi' and 'bulgogi' and ‘gigimi' that stuff’s really good too.
B: It was good. Yummy.

A: One thing that I really appreciate about Seoul is that you can turn a corner and see some of the ancient palaces .
B: We especially enjoyed walking around Insadong because I feel like you get a real feel for the older traditions.
C: It’s also very new and progressive. They’ve got a lot of modern universities and people are always trying to have a very outward looking life.
All: Seoul is old and new.

A: We've actually come to visit our son who's working for three months.
B: We've seen lots of exciting things, the festival, the changing of the guards at the palace, the parades in the palace garden, lots of unexpected things. We didn't expect to see all these exciting, colorful events.

A: Yeah, it's kind of like the 80's style here, retro, 80's kind of. I see a lot of women with the leggings. All the women wear high heels. I never wear high heels at home, never ever. And a lot of the men wear a lot more color. A lot of the men have more fun with their clothes. And, it's kind of fun.
All: Seoul is stylish!

A: We are from Russia and we don't know English well. But we want to say that Seoul is like a puzzle because you can have shopping here and eat some tasty food in good restaurants and after that you can meet with your friends and go to hotel and have good time here. And it's like complete as a puzzle.

Like I said, if I can sum it up in one word, this is just absolutely fantastic here. And I enjoy the culture, the food, the people, the traditions and the must-sees like temples and things like that. So yea that’s basically it. Should I go on?

Hello I’m Piotr. I’m from Poland and I study at business school in Seoul. I perceive Seoul as a very high-tech city due to lots of subway lines and people are using very sophisticated, modern mobile phones. There’s a lot of high-tech stuff, people watching some small TV’s, movies in the subways. For me, it’s a very high-tech city. Thank you.

I think Seoul is modern because of the lifestyle. Because the architecture, it’s so New Age and at the same time in the middle of the city, right in the downtown, we have such a beautiful temple. The modern, old are all together.

Seoul is energetic. When I first came to Seoul, I thought, looking at all of the people walking down the street and all the flashy neon lights. The fact that things are open 24 hours. You can get a roll of kimbap at anytime. You can get a bottle of Hite at anytime. There's definitely a buzz in Seoul and that's why I really enjoy being here. Seoul is energetic.
